Non-woven fabrics, also known as non-woven fabrics or non-woven fabrics, are widely used in applications. They are not only seen in clothing, sanitary building materials, but also in many niche areas. Today, we mainly introduce the application of various functional masterbatch in non-woven fabrics (what types of non-woven functional masterbatch are available).

Functional masterbatch introduction

(1) Flame retardant masterbatch

Nonwoven fabric materials are widely used in clothing, construction, automotive, decoration and other fields. High requirements are also placed on its flame retardant properties. The addition of flame retardant masterbatch during the preparation of the material can effectively improve the flame retardant properties of the product.

(2) Antibacterial masterbatch

In the human living environment, microorganisms that are invisible to the naked eye are ubiquitous, and pathogens such as bacteria and mold are the main factors affecting human health. Therefore, the development of antibacterial functional materials has attracted widespread attention.

(3) Anti-aging masterbatch

Polymer materials may be degraded at various stages of their synthesis, storage, processing, and end use, ie, the properties of the material are reduced, such as yellowing, cracking of the surface of the product, loss of gloss, reduction of impact strength, etc. The decrease in mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break, thus affecting the normal use of the product, which is the aging of the polymer material. The aging of nonwoven materials can generally be solved by selecting different anti-aging masterbatch according to different application fields.

(4) Antistatic masterbatch

Classification of antistatic agents: One type is conductive substances, such as carbon black, carbon fiber, stainless steel microfilament, conductive polymer, and the like. The other type is the adsorption of water molecules in the air. Such antistatic agents are polar compounds with hydrophilic hydrophilic groups, and the hydrophilic groups can adsorb water molecules around the air to the material, so that The surface resistivity of the material is reduced and static electricity is eliminated. Such as: glycerol monostearate, N, N-bis (2-hydroxyethyl) fatty acid amide and its ester mixture. Post-type antistatic agents are more commonly used to prepare antistatic masterbatches.

(5) Hydrophilic masterbatch

Polyolefin-based nonwoven materials have poor hydrophilicity and need to improve their hydrophilicity in some applications, such as baby diapers, masks, medical wound patches, and the like.

(6) Flexible masterbatch

The conventional polypropylene avant-garde has a high thermal bonding temperature and a soft hand feeling, and the position of the nonwoven fabric material as a heat-bonding fiber is limited. The melting point of the polypropylene fiber that the user wishes to use is reduced to 140 ° C or even below 130 ° C to accommodate the higher speed of thermal bonding production of the nonwoven fabric and to reduce energy consumption. If the melting point is too high, it is difficult to form a highly strong non-woven fabric. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the polypropylene fiber to increase its softness and lower the thermal bonding temperature. By adding soft masterbatch during the preparation process, the melting point of the fiber can be effectively reduced, and the flexibility of the polypropylene fiber can be improved.

(7) Negative ion masterbatch

According to research, negative ions can regulate the excitation and inhibition of the central nervous system, improve the function of the cerebral cortex; increase oxygen absorption and carbon dioxide emissions, can promote the body's metabolism, accelerate the tissue redox process, increase the body's immunity force. Therefore, in recent years, negative ion products have become more and more popular.

(8) Anti-mold masterbatch

Mold brings a lot of inconvenience to our lives, such as: mildew of food and clothing.

As the field of application of nonwoven materials becomes more and more light and functional requirements are more and more, it is both an opportunity and a challenge for non-woven functional masterbatch enterprises. We must have a keen insight, keep up with the pace of the market, and focus on the development of new products. The development trend of functional masterbatch: composite multifunctional masterbatch, such as: antibacterial, mildew and deodorizing masterbatch, hydrophilic soft masterbatch, negative ion far infrared masterbatch, etc. Low-addition high-performance masterbatch, such as: use high-performance nano-filler, select the appropriate dispersant to enhance the dispersion of the filler.

The non-woven functional masterbatch makes the non-woven fabric more and more functional, more and more practical, and can meet a variety of needs, which must be the future development trend.
