Garment industry is Cambodia's largest foreign exchange earner in the first nine months of this year, Cambodia's garment exports grew by 22%, Cambodia Commerce Department data released on Tuesday showed.

     1-9 months of this year, Cambodia exported about $ 4.2 billion of apparel products, compared with $ 3.44 billion the same period last year increased by 22%.

     Cambodia's garment exports to the U.S. and most European countries, some exports to Canada, Japan, Korea and China.

     Cambodian garment sector exports accounted for 80% of total export earnings.

     Cambodia's garment industry has 500 projects, there are about 510,600 workers. The monthly minimum wage salary is $ 80.

     In 2012, Cambodia's garment exports reached $ 4.6 billion, the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce said.
