The main components of the non-woven masterbatch are generally divided into three parts: a coloring agent, a carrier and a dispersing agent. There are 330 enterprises producing masterbatch in China, of which 300 are plastic-grade masterbatch factories and 30 are fiber-grade masterbatch factories. These masterbatch production plants are mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Shandong and Zhejiang. , Jiangsu, Shanghai, Liaoning, Tianjin, Beijing, Hebei and other provinces and cities. In recent years, there has been a serious overcapacity in production, which has led to the widespread shortage of domestic masterbatch industry. In addition to factors such as excessive growth rate of new production equipment and insufficient product orders, the important factor is that the domestic masterbatch products have a single structure, incomplete varieties, and general-purpose types. The product accounts for a large proportion, while the high concentration and ultra-high concentration, multifunctional masterbatch and fine fiber have a smaller proportion of masterbatch. In contrast, countries with high levels of masterbatch technology, such as pigments, dispersants and other raw materials, have formed a series of specialized and specialized product structures.


In terms of variety development, China's masterbatch manufacturers have developed non-woven masterbatch, black masterbatch, chemical fiber masterbatch, film masterbatch, wire and cable masterbatch, polyolefin masterbatch , PVC masterbatch, masterbatch for injection molding products. The production process of non-woven masterbatch is generally divided into four types: washing method, ink method, kneading method and metal soap method. The following four production processes for non-woven masterbatch are as follows:


1. Washing method: the pigment, water and dispersing agent are sanded to make the pigment particles smaller than 1 μm, and the pigment is transferred into the oil phase by a phase transfer method, and then dried to obtain a masterbatch. An organic solvent, as well as a corresponding solvent recovery unit, is required for phase inversion.


The process: fine color slurry washing, evaporation concentrated material drying, adding carrier extrusion granulation


2, ink method: As the name suggests, is the production method of ink paste in the production of masterbatch, that is, through the three-roll grinding, coating a low molecular protection layer on the surface of the pigment. The ground fine color paste is then mixed with a carrier resin, then plasticized by a two-roll mill (also called a two-roll mill), and finally granulated by a single-screw or twin-screw extruder.

3. Metal soap method: after the pigment is ground, the particle size reaches about 1μm, and the soap liquid is added at a certain temperature, so that the surface layer of each pigment particle is evenly wetted by the soap liquid to form a layer of saponification liquid, when the metal salt After the solution is added, it chemically reacts with the saponified layer on the surface of the pigment to form a protective layer of magnesium soap (magnesium stearate), so that the finely divided pigment particles do not cause flocculation, but protect a certain fineness.


4. Pinching method: After blending the pigment and the oil carrier, the pigment is oleophilic, and the pigment is washed from the water phase into the oil phase by kneading. At the same time, the surface of the pigment is coated by an oil carrier to stabilize the pigment dispersion and prevent pigment condensation.
