From January to December 2019, China's cumulative import of cotton cloth was 279 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 21.42%; cumulative exports were 7.892 billion meters, a year-on-year decrease of 6.28%.

In 2019/20, China's cumulative imports of cotton were 85 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 19.37%; cumulative exports were 2.618 billion meters, a year-on-year decrease of 2.57%.
